Peking University's Guanghua School of Management was founded 30 years on the occasion of the alumni visit the elderly in Flushing

[China Press reporter Shu Ying Sun in New York on May 16] The Guanghua Alumni launched the "Global Public Good Month; Warm Guanghua Trip" event held on May 16th at the Golden Eagle Senior Center in Flushing. Nearly 20 alumni from Peking University's Guanghua School of Management sent their understandings to the elderly community, in the hopes that the establishment of the Guanghua School of Management occasion of 30 years, through spreading activities of the brilliance of the public spirit and driving more people to participate, jointly promote public welfare development in the community.

New York Senior Care Group Golden Eagle Senior Day Care and Activities Center’s chairman Jianyuan Yang said that not only did the Peking University Guanghua School of Management trained talent for large enterprises for 30 years, but on this day the Guanghua alumni initiated the senior care social activities, which reflects the alumni’s respect and caring spirit for the elderly. Jianyuan Yang also said that the alumni could indeed understand the needs of the elderly Chinese-American people through visiting and communication; they even brought seniors books and many other gifts to make elderly feel warm. Jianyuan Yang said that the current senior care issue has become a major challenge for civil society in China, the substantive needs of the elderly are often not high, the spiritual care of elderly is more important. He also said that he hopes the respecting and visiting activities can be held often, and that he also plans to hold similar events at the Golden Eagle Senior Care Center on a regular basis in the future.
　　Peking University Alumni Association vice president, Beijing University MBA Alumni Association President Jianjun Gao said that the "Global Public Good Month; Warm Guanghua Trip" activities reflect the mission of Guanghua School of Management" to create management knowledge, culture, and business leaders to promote social progress. Jianjun Gao said the Peking University's Guanghua School of Management, is China's first business school that has released Responsibility Reports annually to the business school community, and that it is also the premier business school in China and Asia. He said that they will spread the brilliance of public spirit through this event, and jointly promote the development of public welfare in the community.
